Bloggers Recommend Perpetual Challenge – September Picks & Possibles

brchallengeMichelle from My Books. My Life. is doing a really easy (meaning even I can do it) perpetual challenge for Bloggers Recommend. Each month you take a look at the newsletter, choose a book to read, read it, and link up your review post if you are so inclined.

September yielded this massive list of books to choose from. I contributed to the fray by recommending three books. Each of these novels is very different, but I enjoyed them all immensely. (Clicking on covers will take you to book descriptions.)

My Mother's Secret by J.L. WitterickDuplex by Kathryn DavisThe Maid's Version by Daniel Woodrell

I also read:

Burial Rites by Hannah Kent

Loved, loved, loved Burial Rites! I’ll be reading this again with my Twitter Book Club, The Hashtags.

Goat Mountain is not for the faint-hearted.

BOOK CLUB will be reading two September selections in the upcoming months:

  1. These are really good books. For me it was a toss up between My Mother’s Secret and Burial Rites. My first choice is Burial Rites. Off to find a copy. Need to start reading quickly. This month is moving along fast.
