Book Club Logo e1292027617798 BOOK CLUB Picks & Giveaway For The Last Brother, by Nathacha AppanahLast year (which was really just last month), Jen (Devourer of Books) and I announced our joint BOOK CLUB.  On January 25th we will be discussing the first selection, A Thousand Rooms of Dream and Fear, by Atiq Rahimi, here on this blog with 10 readers who won a copy of the book from either Jen or me.  Even though we haven’t even yet held our first discussion, it’s time to give away the next book club selection.

Last month many who entered to win a copy of the book expressed an interest in participating for the year.  I wish I could accomodate everyone, but I only have 5 copies to give away each time. This time around I will pick two winners, each of whom will receive a copy of each book club selection that we offer.  One book will be available for win only to those participating in the discussion.  The final two copies of the book each month will be available to giveaway to readers of this blog.  Remember that you can also enter on Devourer of Books to increase the chances of winning a copy.

In February, we will be reading The Last Brother, by Nathacha Appanah, and it comes to us by way of Graywolf Press.

The Last Brother 125x187 BOOK CLUB Picks & Giveaway For The Last Brother, by Nathacha AppanahThe Last Brother, by Nathacha Appanah, like our last selection is a translation, exploring the friendship of two boys through little known events in World War II.  Clicking on the cover will take you to a fuller description of the book.  Discussion will take place on Tuesday, February 22nd at Jen’s blog, Devourer of Books.

To enter in the giveaway, please fill out the form.  I will select and announce the winners over the next week or so.

Galore, by Michael Crummey
The Convert, by Deborah Baker
