In Buried, Ryan Reynolds plays Paul Conroy, an American truck driver who wakes up to discover that that he is in a coffin six feet beneath the ground, and that he has to raise a $5 million dollar ransom to get out. The scariest part in most movies for me, and in books too for that matter, is when a character realizes that they can’t trust the person/people that they thought they could, and they are in even worse trouble than they imagined. Truly spine tingling! Did you see the part where he’s on the phone and the lady says his name? I would have died right there on the spot if that happened to me! The movie’s website url invites you to getburied.com. It’s very clever but, uh…no, thanks! I haven’t been much of a movie goer lately, but more than likely I will venture out to see this when it arrives in theaters on September 24, 2010. What about you? Could you watch a movie like this?

There is no way I could see that movie. Looks so uncomfortable to watch!

Couldn’t agree more. I may have nightmares just watching the trailer.

I am not sure I want to see this movie… but I am decently intrigued and just want to know what happens next

I am so claustrophopbic, I don’t know if I could see this one. I’ve always wanted to get Uma Thurman’s skills in KILL BILL so I could get out of a coffin buried 6 ft deep if necessary.

Uma’s skills would come in handy in many, many situations.
Oh score! I totally want to see this one!

I totally want to see this. It sounds so claustrophobic though, I wonder if I can stand it!?! But I love Ryan Reynolds and it sounds like a movie that will mess with my mind. *shiver*

I won’t go see it – too scary for me.
This first time I saw this preview in theatres, my skin began to crawl — and when we finally see a flicker of light and realize he’s in a coffin? The entire theatre yelled out! I’ve never liked scary movies and will be staying far away from this one… but I hope you get to see it and have fun!
Eek!

Is this the right place to put my comment? You have such an organized blog I don’t want to mess it up. Love coming over to your place. I’ve read Years of Wonder by Geraldine Brooks. I loved it. Perfect Peace????? I can’t imagine what type of havoc this mother has created. Is she out of her mind? I’m old fashioned. To change or try to change the sex of what God has given me? First, my hub would think I had lost my marbles. Wouldn’t people figure it out rather quickly? I did think the book cover had a cute, beautiful girl on it. Little did I know. I guess it proves mothers have a lot of power in their hands.
I’m afraid this one would give me nightmares but I probably want to see it anyway!
Saw this promo at the movies and was excited. This looks very good and creepy. And it does have Ryan Reynolds which is a plus.
