While I really liked We Need to Talk About Kevin, I'm not a fan of tennis, so the terminology would probably bore me. I think I'll pass on this one.

It was so interesting listening to the discussion about this on That's How I Blog the other night. None of you liked the book but the conversation about the book still went on for an hour. Just goes to show that a discussion-worthy book isn't necessarily a book you like!

I like that it's thought provoking, but I'm on the fence with this one. I do want to try out Shriver's work, though, since I've heard so much about it.

Yeah, Shriver is "hard on her characters," I completely agree. She's a hit and miss for me, with her stories, but her storytelling is always wonderful. I may not always enjoy what she's talking about, but the way she tells them are always breathtaking. The Post-Birthday World is one of my favorite novels--looking forward to your thoughts on it.
