Reading & Blogging for Darfur

Natasha over at Maw Books Blog is hosting a month long event to raise money and awareness about the genocide happening in Darfur, Sudan.

Here is what she has to say about the event:

During September every book I read, every post I write, every comment
left on this blog, and every book that you read about Darfur will make
a difference. How? The difference will be you. This won’t work if I’m
doing it all by myself. So I ask for everybody to get involved. There
are a lot of different levels on which you can do just that, so choose
the one that you are the most comfortable with.

You can read her entire post on ways to get involved by clicking the button or watch her video post about the event here.

I would like to thank  Natasha for coming up with such a great idea to raise money and awareness for such a worthy cause, and figuring out such a fun and fabulous way to do it.  I plan on doing my part by at least reading one book and blogging a review, and commenting when I can.  I will also contribute 25 cents to anyone who comments on this post and 50 cents for those who link back to it.  So come on, what are you waiting for?

I agree with Brad Meltzer that ordinary people can change the world. We just have to be willing to do it. Hopefully more people will get involved.
