  1. OK, I can’t believe you haven’t read any Poirot books yet. You will have such a good time, at least I hope so. Poirot is a great character – sorta like Mr. Monk, but not not quite as OCD. LOL

  2. This is so cool! I have never read any Agatha Christie books, but this summer seems like the perfect time to start! Thanks for sharing this with us!

  3. This is really awesome! I can’t wait for the read-along to start! This new edition by Harper Collins looks really wonderful! Can’t wait to see it in the stores! If I may make a suggestion on the movie front – you might find ‘And Then There Were None’ (based on a stand-alone novel) and ‘Death on the Nile’ (based on a Hercule Poirot novel) quite interesting. ‘And Then There Were None’ is one of my alltime favourite Christies and the movie is wonderful too.

  4. Martha@Hey, I want to read that

Yippee, yippee, yippee!! This is going to be so much fun. I was already excited about Poirot being back on Masterpiece and now even more so. I have to tell a quick, funny story. Last season my daughter and I were watching Murder on the Orient Express when she said ” I can’t remember who did it.” All I could do is look at her asking if she was serious. Boy, did she slap her head.

  5. The temptresses are back at it again. So did you guys get bored or what? You only have six projects going instead of the normal 12! Hee hee. I’d love to read some Agatha Christie. I can’t make any promises…I’ve got more than a full plate this summer and some big plans with some big books. But I just might try one or two. We will see!

  6. How fun! This looks like an awesome summer read-a-long. I haven’t read Agatha Christie in years but this might give me an excuse to get back into it.

  7. Agatha Christie was also my introduction to adult literature nd mysteries! By age 12 I finished the YA section of our library (I had quite a lot of time to read when I was home recovery from surgery for several months every year) and my mom didn’t want me to read adult books with a lot of sex and other scenes so she gave me Agatha Christies books. They were fantastic! Of course, I don’t remember all of them so I hope I’ll have the time to read some this summer. But I’m definitely watching the movies!

  8. I actually shrieked out loud when I saw that HarperCollins is reissuing her books. I read Agatha Christie for the first time during a hot, hot summer spent variously in Florida and Georgia and Louisiana being hot, hot, hot. This summer looks like it’s shaping up to be just as bad. Agatha Christie is what I exactly need. 😀

  9. I’ve been thinking of giving Agatha Christie a try this summer, so the timing couldn’t be more perfect! I’ll keep a lookout for your reading schedule so I can try the first one with you all. Sounds fun!

  10. I am looking forward to this summer book/movie club. I love Agatha Christie and look forward to adding to the conversation.
