I love books with intelligent women and that explore both friendship and mother-daughter relationships. Throw in the fact that you were totally swept up in the book — a winner.

This sounds amazing, and I hadn’t even heard of it before. And let me just say once again how much I enjoy your detailed, intelligent reviews.

I do enjoy reading books that explore parent-child relationships, and I think I’ve become more understanding/forgiving in the past few years as well. One of my favourite books of this kind is Fun Home by Alison Bedchel.

The more things I have encountered the more I am amazed at how parents handle all that they do. I definitely cut mine more slack.

I got to read like that cause I was sick and had finally reached a day where I was feeling better but just needed to rest. So I read the entire day.

I was thrilled to have the time to read it. I basically had no choice. I had been sick a few days so I couldn’t read anything so Saturday I had the whole day to just relax and since I was feeling better and didn’t want to push myself, I just read the entire day. But it was one of those books that I would have been trying to sneak a minute in whenever I got the chance because it was so good and suspenseful. I waned to see what would happen next.
