A month really can feel like a year. They both go by slowly and fly so quickly all at the same time. Let’s take a look back at the “year” that was June 2010.
According to my list of books read in June 2010 I have read nineteen books, and that is just so misleading! I feel as if I have hardly read anything at all, so I was stunned to see just how many books I had “read” this June. I think what happened is that I finished a lot of books that I had started reading in previous months. I read very few books in their entirety this past month.
- Sisters Red, by Jacskon Pearce
- The Magickeepers, by Erica Kirov
- And Then There Were None, by Agatha Christie
- Michael Jackson: A Life In Music, by Geoff Brown
- One Hundred Great French Books, by Lance Donaldson-Evans
- Beatrice & Virgil, by Yann Martel
- Suite Scarlet, by Maureen Johnson
- The Deadly Sister, by Eliot Schrefer
- The Sons of Liberty, by Alexander & Joseph Lagos
- The Last Convert of John Harper, by Art Ayris & Gabriel Andrade
- My Wife’s Affair, by Nancy Woodruff
- The Summer of Skinny Dipping, by Amanda Howells
- Backseat Saints, by Joshilyn Jackson
- A Fierce Radiance, by Lauren Belfer
- Lost, by Jacqueline Davies
- Rowan The Strange, by Julie Hearn
- The Lost Summer of Louisa May Alcott, by Kelly O’Connor McNees
- The Bucolic Plague, by Josh Kilmer-Purcell
- Bad Marie, by Marcy Dermansky
Favorite Books This Month
This was a strong month for books and I enjoyed quite a few books that I read but Rowan The Strange, by Julie Hearn; The Lost Summer of Louisa May Alcott, by Kelly O’Connor McNees, The Summer of Skinny Dipping, by Amanda Howells; and Bad Marie, by Marcy Demansky really stood out for me.

Whether you read them all in their entirety or carried over from previous months, 19 books is a LOT!

I know. I was shocked! Not sure what happened.
What I read and what I post in a month’s time is so misleading. I only post book reviews generally on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, so in theory I review 12ish books a month, even if I read 18. I question my tactics often, but my biggest fear is that I will overburden my followers with too much of one thing. 19 is a really amazing number, plus you had a bunch of other things going on as well. And there you go again, talking about Bad Marie. Tonight in my dreams, she might move from bullying me to stealing my husband!

I’ve had a dismal June as far as reading goes. I’ve just been to busy with work to find sufficient time to read much of anything besides the NY Times. I’m hoping July will be better with my 9 day camping trip which should give me plenty of time to read!
That sounds like so much fun. It would be perfect to just sit under a tree somewhere and read to your content without any of the regular distractions. Have a good time!
Pretty impressive! Whether you started the books in June or not, 19 is lot. I read 6 and thought I was doing well.
You di do well. I don’t think I finished 6 whole books this month. I haven’t read that much this first few days either.
What was with June? Everyone seemed to read a ton and do all kinds of community things yet all of us feel as if hadn’t done a thing. Hummmmm/

Overachievers, all of us. Book bloggers are a tough crowd.
19 books – holey smokes! I tend to read more in the summer, I think it’s because I’m more relaxed!
